I have tried two different transition hairstyles thus far. Hopefully i can get a few more that work well for me :)
This style up above has been my favorite. I don't know why other than it is just plain simple; and i am loving simple right now. It is just a scarf and my hair pulled back in a ponytail and tucked under.
This style is in a rod and braid-out. It is okay but does not hold up with my hair very well. By the end of the day it is just frizzy. But it holds the moisture very well. And i love how shiny it is.
-Shampoo-Avlon Kera Care ( I don't use this often but this is the only shampoo i use. It is a sulfate free shampoo.)
-Co-wash-Silk Elements mega cholesterol conditioner.(I use this to clean my hair at least once a week.)
I am using a Shea butter whip that is homemade. I found this recipe on Naptural85 youtube page.(I love her page, she has great advice on natural hair and natural products for your hair :)) Love it.
It seems God has me on a journey to a more natural way of living, every aspect of my life.
One of the major aspects of this journey i am a learning is natural eating. A healthier way of eating. My complexion and skin looks so much better today than it did even a few months ago. I am enjoying all the things I am learning. I praise God for all of this. How He cares for every part of our being. It is amazing :)
"For by Wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life." Proverbs 9:11
I think no matter what you do, you are absolutely beautiful! I love that you are writing about this though. I find myself going more "natural" lately. I'm sure it's a little different than your natural but it's still a hard thing to do. I've started going with no make up and not going through the whole ordeal of "fixing" my hair. It feels do good, although if I'm going to be up close and personal with folks I do still touch up a little. I've also started doing a little organic eating and I am loving it. It amazes me how much more flavor organic products have. Now, just to get the rest of the family on board...whole other adventure!
